Gin Only - No knocking allowed. Must have gin or you disqualify.

Reg Gin - Knocking is allowed. You may also have gin if you wish.

Oklahoma(okie) -Set table to oklahoma. Knocking allowed depending on upcard. You may gin if you like.

Knock Only - You must knock. No gin is allowed or you disqualify. You cannot hold onto an ace deadwood in order to undercut opponent. Once you have deadwood of 1 you must knock or you disqualify. You can knock anytime you like. Undercutting is allowed as long as not undercutting with ace deadwood.

Vertical Only - Melds must be sets. Eg:333 444 555 etc. No melds can be runs or you disqualify.

Horizontal Only - Melds must be runs. Eg:345 678 234 etc. No melds can be sets or you disqualify.

No Touch - No cards can be picked up from the discard pile including the upcard. If you do you disqualify.

There are games where a certain card or suit cannot be used in melds. For example no 6's means that no 6's are allowed in melds or you disualify.

2 Down 1 Across - Melds must be 2 vertical melds and 1 horizontal meld or you disqualify. See above for vertical and horizontal.

2 Across 1 Down - Melds must be 2 horizontal melds and 1 vertical meld or you disqualify. See above for vertical and horizontal.

Red/Black - If the upcard is red, hand is gin only no knock allowed. If the upcard is black, hand is reg gin, knock or gin allowed. There can be variations of red/black which can include any of the above mentioned rules.

Upcard - There are many variations of upcard. One variation is that the suit and number of the upcard cannot be used. For example if the upcard is a 6 of hearts then 6s and hearts are not allowed in melds. Other variations of upcard have any of the above mentioned games.

Suicide Gin - When opponent gins, you must unmeld all cards, giving opponent maximum amount of points.
